Abstract (EN)
In this study, N,N'-bis(ferrocenylmethylene)-p-phenylenediamine (L) Schiff base was synthesized by the condensation reaction of p-phenylenediamine and ferrocenecarboxyraldehyde (1:2 mol) in ethanol. The closed formulas of this Schiff base obtained by reactions with SnCl2.2H2O, Sn(CH3)2Cl2 and CuBr2 are [Sn(CH3)2Cl2(L)].8H2O (K1), [SnCl4(H2O)4(L)].4H2O (K2) and [CuBr2(L)].H2O.CHCl3 (K3) were elucidated by the evaluation of data obtained from elemental analysis, CV, TGA, FT-IR, Mass ESI(-/+), 1H -13C NMR (L, K1, K2). Possible structures for these complexes have been proposed. The coloring properties of N,N'-bis(ferrocenylmethylene)-p-phenylenediamine Schiff base and newly synthesized Schiff base metal complexes on some textile fibers (wool, cotton, polyester) were investigated. It was concluded that the coloring properties of Schiff base metal complexes are darker and have different colors than the Schiff base ligand.
