Abstract (EN)
Nahit Sırrı Örik, one of the personalities of Rebuplic season, who wasn?t given muchimportance, is a writer who created Works of novel, story, theatre and the like. He was born instanbul in 1894 and also died in, stanbul in 1960. In our work, we examined the structureand topic of Örik?s novels and stories.Our aim was to find out the writer?s novels and stories literatary value, revealingparticularly his life, his literatary life and art view. The writer?s five novels and three shortstory books were examined in turns of structure and topic.Örik, usually wrote the lives of the rich, the upper class. Ottaman, palace and aroundrich people take place largely in his works.Nahid Sırrı Örik stands apart from other writers in the Republican Era through hisability to portray protagonists? evil. Novels and stories power and poignancy lie in itsexposure of the seeds of evil hidden in the depths of the human soul.Writer writes over many kind of literatary during his sixty-six-year-old life. Thebiggest misfortune of him is specially that he couldn?t have part of his story and novel whichpublished during his life.
