THE FLORA OF THE NALLIHAN BIRD SANCTUARY (ANKARA) (Master Thesis) Ebru DO?AN GAZI UNIVERSITY INSTITUTE OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY January 2000 ABSTRACT Study area is Nallıhan Bird Sanctuary that is located in between Beypazarı - Nallıhan provinces of Ankara. In this study 580 plant specimens were collected. As a result, we have seen that, the flora is composed of 67 families, 231 genera and 354 taxa which are specific and infraspecific rank. 109 specific and infraspecific rank taxa are new records for A3 square and 65 taxa are endemic (18,55 %). Phytogeographical elements of the area as follows: Irano- Turanian elements 90 (25,21 %), Mediterranean elements 34 (9,63 %), Euro-Siberian elements 16 (4,53 %) and the others, wide spreaded and those of which phytogeographical region are unidentified, 215 (60,09 %).
