Nanotools in nano architecture and catalytic investigation of the well-ordered nano particles

Abstract (EN)

In this thesis, sub-10nm Nano crystals which were well-tuned in size, and cubic, cube octahedral, multifold, and spherical in shape were produced by applying modified synthetic polyol method in which poly-vinyl-pyrrolidone (PVP) was used as capping agent in the presence of surface stabilizing agents such as ox, CA, OAc, and acac in the tri-ethylene-glycol (TEG). The obtained and well-ordered Nano particles were characterized by High Resolution Transmission Electron Microscopy (HR-TEM), Electron Diffraction X-ray (EDX) and room temperature CO adsorption IR spectroscopy. Furthermore, the catalytic performances of the produced Nano particles were investigated on hydro-de-chlorination (HDC) reaction of tri-chloro-ethylene (TCE). It was demonstrated that different surface stabilizing agents play an important role for surface evaluation of the shape of the Nano particles, having different size and shape, exhibited different catalytic activity on the HDC reaction of TCE.
