Abstract (EN)

Nazımiye is a city of Tunceli, situated in the upper Euphteate region in Eastern Anatolia. Research field is limited with center of Nazımiye including 3 km² area. The most important stream crossıng the plain is the stream Harcik.Social geography characteristic of city of center were formed due to geomorphologic characteristic and climate mostly. Population of Nazımiye is limited in a proper level during history. The most important reason of this case is that economical activities and especially agricultue are limited by geomorphologic characteristics .Economical potential as it was mentioned above has not been carried out in a wide field, due to unsuvitable geomorphologic characteristics. Sheep breeding is major economical activity.Nazımiye had been under savereignity of the abbasis the seljuk, the Artuklus, the Akkoyunlus, and the ottomans during the historical period.
