Abstract (EN)

Necip Fazıl Kısakürek (1905?1983), who is one of the most important figures of the Republican Period of Turkish Literature, owes his fame to his poetry in fact. Being a playwright and a narrator also constitutes another side of him which completes his literary might. Alongside with his artistry, being an intellectual and activist is also one of the components that ensured him fame. His art gets formed in the framework of his world concept, thus is compatible with his argument. It is easy to trace this both in his poetry and plays. From his first play Tohum( Seed) (1935) to his last plays, Necip Fazıl esteemed it a first duty to reflect his concept of world implicitly or explicitly. Necip Fazıl, thus, places the female characters within his conceptual framework , however the female characters are never in the center, rather they are observed as walk-on players who just complete the setting.
