Review of Nefise Atçakarlar's books in terms of values educations

In this study, it is aimed to examine Nefise Atçakarlar's books in terms of the root values in the curriculum. Document analysis technique, one of the qualitative research methods, was used in the research. In the document review, sources written for the target-oriented situations determined in each study are examined (Yıldırım and Şimşek, 2018, p. 189). In document review, the researcher determines sources in accordance with the research purpose, makes various readings, and after taking some notes, makes an evaluation according to certain criteria (Karasar, 2009, p. 183). In the study, the author's books, Master of Masters Mimar Sinan, Incredible Evliya Çelebi and His Ball Pen, Turkish Masters and Crazy Methods, Artists and Crazy Methods in the Ottoman Empire, Geniuses and Crazy Methods and Mevlâna Sevgi Güneşi, which are suitable for the level of secondary school students, were examined by document analysis method and analyzed using the content analysis method. Has been made. While collecting data in the research, the root values and attitudes and behaviors related to root values in the curriculum renewal study published by TTKB (MEB, 2018, p. 24) were taken as basis. During the research process, the books mentioned were read three times in total, initially using the speed reading technique and then summarizing and reading in more detail. Expert opinion was frequently sought during and after the reading, so that not a single detail of the findings was overlooked. Then, the root values in each book were determined. In the findings section, the data obtained under the relevant value heading are presented with examples from the texts. In the research, it was concluded that there are many expressions of root values in the examined works of Nefise Atçakarlar. In the works examined, the root value of most respect was; It was concluded that the root value of honesty was at least included.
