Visual analysis of endangered animals

The universe is composed of an intricate web of interconnected relationships, each capable of influencing the other in both positive and negative ways. One of the most significant examples of this network is the relationship between natüre which encompasses both living and non-living entities and humanity. In the early stages of human existence, humans found themselves in a fragile and vulnerable state. Consequently, they adapted to nature's rules, imitated its mechanisms, and eventually, through accumulated knowledge, embarked on a struggle to assert dominance over it. As the detrimental and often irreversible consequences of this struggle became increasingly apparent, various environmentalist movements began to draw attention to the issue through campaigns, public service announcements, and scientific research. Within this discourse, the debate between anthropocentric and ecocentric environmental approaches has persisted for years. The most significant conclusion reached is the necessity of establishing a sustainable balance between humans and the natural world. In maintaining this balance, it is essential that humans benefit from nature without destroying it, causing irreversible damage, or acting without regard for sustainability. To protect the equilibrium of nature, a collaborative effort between science and art is increasingly seen as essential. Achieving this goal requires multidisciplinary approaches that integrate scientific, technical, social, and artistic perspectives. In addition to the researcher's own works, the study also includes 11 drawings by various foreign artists, selected to contribute to the thesis topic and allow for the examination of illustrations created in different periods. Within the scope of the research, there are 28 drawings by the researcher, while the remaining 13 visual representations were created by foreign artists. Accordingly, the thesis comprises a total of 41 drawing samples, all of which are analyzed as part of the study.
