There are many unknownsabout brain. Electroencephalography (EEG) is a technique for measuring theelectrical activity of the brain that is caused by the current generated within neurons. An EEG signal can be considered as a series of excitatory and inhibitory postsynapticpotentials (EPSP?s and IPSP?s). This expansion is not orthogonal since the synthesisbasis functions (EPSP?s and IPSP?s) are not orthogonal. The aim of this study is togenerate a new orthogonal wavelet from EPSP.Key Words: Electroencephalography, EPSP, Multiresolution Analysis, WaveletTransformII
