Abstract (EN)

The poets, in the classical Turkish poetry tradition, have used literary arts as an aesthetic value in their works for centuries. Literary arts have always been significant in terms of allowing poets to use their talents and to substantiate themselves. İstifhâm and tecâhül-i ârifâne are among these literary arts used quite frequently. In this study, it is aimed to provide the definition, description and classification of the art of istifhâm and tecâhül-i ârifâne in the context of the functioning of literary arts in Classical Turkish poetry in the sample of Neylî's Divan in specific, and to reveal the aesthetic dimension of Neylî's ghazals. First of all, by reviewing the ghazals in Neylî's Dîvân, the texts and couplets containing the art of istifhâm and tecâhül-i ârifâne were determined and annotated using the classical text commentary method. In the context of the classification of these arts within themselves, the expression schemes of the couplets were created and their processing in Neylî's Dîvân was revealed. So as to better understand the data obtained during the study, the findings were supported with tables and graphs. As an information reflected in the result of the study, it has been revealed that these arts arise from the need of people to ask, and that in his poems, Neylî reflects the issues that he wondered, thought about and questioned in his life. Keywords: Classical Turkish Poetry, Neylî's Dîvân, Rhetoric, İstifhâm, Tecâhül-i Ârifâne.
