The effects of deficit irrigation on the yield parameters of some strawberry varieties in Nigde conditions

This study was carried out on 3 different strawberry cultivars grown under Nigde climatic conditions in strawberry production where Turkey ranks fourth globally. The experiment was carried out to investigate the effects of different irrigation levels on yield and to determine the most suitable strawberry variety for the region. I100 full irrigation subject and I75 and I50 restricted irrigation subjects were applied to strawberry varieties considering open surface evaporation. The experiment was conducted for 2 years in 2021 and 2022. Yield per plant, number of fruits, average fruit size and yield per decare were calculated. In the first year, it was observed that Monterey strawberry variety had a higher yield than Albion and San Andreas varieties. In the second year, Albion strawberry variety was found to have higher yield than the other varieties. The highest yield was also reached in full irrigation water.
