Abstract (EN)

Two different techniques for the determination of nimodipine in tablet formulations using UV-spectrophotometry and flow-injection analysis (FIA) are presented in this study. Acetate buffer at pH 2, were used as carrier solvent at 1.4 mL.min-1 of flow rate. Nimodipine signals were detected at 238 nm using UV-spectrophotometric detectör. Peak area signals were used for quantification of nimodipine and the precision and linearity of the FIA were shown with these signals. The detection limit and determination limit of the method(signal/noise 3.3 and 10) were 1.10x10-6 M and 5.62x10-6 M respectively. The results obtained with the application of the method were compared with UV spectrophotometry as standard method. It was found that the diffference of the standard method and FIA was not statistically significant by using peak area responce of FIA. This methods were applied to tablets containing nimodipine and suitability of the results to the pharmacopoeia was evaluated. It can be concluded that FIA developed with this study is a precise, sensitive and chip method. Keywords: nimodipine, flow-injection analysis, pharmaceutical tablet
