Abstract (EN)

The Türkish folk lullabies which were evaluated as products specific to women are under taken in terms of meaning of shoping womens life in male-dominant society.The perspective of woman towards social order, family life, tradition and beliefs are determined by means of lullabies.The aim of this project is to observe the image of woman and the mother which take place in Türkish folk lullabies.In this way, it proves that the work of lullabies are the work of narrations which carry the traces of Türkish folk culture as well as literary qualities.
