P-Cygni profiles of O, B and A stars

Abstract (EN)

P-Cygni profiles which is the distinct observational proof of stellar winds, were searched in listed 209 O, B and A spectral type stars. This survey was done to many spectral lines in UV and optical region H? (6562.8 Å). Relation between absolute parameters and rotational velocities of stars with morphology of the P-Cygni profiles were discussed. Dominant profiles are coming out in stars with T_e?20000 K and log L/L_? ? 4,7 in very narrow radius distiribution (?logR?=1,4 ± 0,2 ). 46 stars which have P-Cygni profiles are rotating in a range 98 km/s that is issued by the standard deviation.PROF (Olah et. al., 1992; Olah et. al., 1998) was used to calculate rotational velocity (vsin i) of some stars at the list. vsin i of HD 91572 was presented to literature as 78 ± 2 km/s for the first time.WM-Basic (Pauldrach et. al., 1998) was performed to generate the synthetic model spectra which has represantative P-Cygni profiles. Calculated mass-loss rate and terminal velocities was presented. Mass-loss rate ? luminosity relation was obtained M? ? L^1,46 . This value is compatible with literature.
