Abstract (EN)
The aim of this study is to research the relation between the students? studying habits towards physics courses and the academic success at the physics courses. For this research, four subproblems had been inquired. The study was conducted with total 304 students involved nine classes from one Anatolian high school, one high school and one Anatolian profession high school in Kayseri on the spring season of 2007-2008 education-instruction year. In this study, the studying habits towards physics courses was developed by the researcher and the students? report card grades of physics courses were used. SPSS program was used to test hypothesis of the study. It is determined that statistical studies have positive but low relation between studying habits towards physics courses and physics courses academic success. According to the examines in subproblems, female students? academic success is higher than male students, in spite of male students? studying habits towards physics courses are more positive. When this situation is examined again, it is observed that male students have a higher relation when compared with female students between their studying habits towards physics courses and academic success. The outcomes of this study are expected to be more useful for the similar studies in the future.Key Words :Physics Teaching, The Students? Studying Habits Towards PhysicsCourses, Physics Course Studying Habits Scale, Academic Success
