Success criterions at learning organizations and an exercise

Changing environment conditions, make it difficult for organizations to continuetheir existence. In strict competition environment; where unstrong organizations cannotstand; to step forward and adapting to change is possible with creating differences.Organizations need to understand the environment conditions very well which they needto be adapted. However, they need to develop new tecniques and creat value to be ableto adapted to these conditions and this occurs by learning. Learning organizationphilosophy; which is based on continuous learning and developing by it; gainsorganizations the learning and developing backround which they need for competingand standing alive.The organizations which have the learning organization philosophy and use it,can see the positive results of it. Organizations will have employees who has personalmastery and the understaning of continuous learning. They examine their thinkingstyles and try to see the whole picture.They learn to learn by teams, and creat synergy.Individuals try to realize themselves by organization, by identifying their aims withorganizational aims. So that the organizations comes out.; who can solve problemssystematicaly, creat knownledge by learning from past and experiences and share theknownledge with the rest of the organization.In this study, eleven success criterions are mentioned about learningorganizations. Organizations can evaluate themselves and find out where they are bythis criterions. In the last part, two companies from servis and manufacturing sectorsevaluated by success criterions and some suggestions are made about being a betterlearning organization.
