Abstract (EN)

The aim of this study is to clarify the effects of the positive and negative emotions emerging in teachers and students on teacher-student relationship. The study is composed of a class teacher and her students at a school in the 2015-2016 academic year in Şahinbey District in Gaziantep City. In the study, typical case sampling, one of the purposive samplings, is determined/conducted. The sampling of the study consists of a class teacher, 21 female students and 15 male students from a school that represents the city average. Totally, the study is composed of 37 people. To get survey data, observation and semi-structured interview technigues are determined/used. The study's data is analyzed via descriptive analysis methods. According to the results of the study, such positive emotions as self-confidence, happiness and sense of love that the teacher and students have emerge and these feelings may affect teacher-student relationship positively with regard to learning environment/class performance. Such negative emotions as unhappiness, uneasiness and sadness emerge and these feelings may affect teacher-student relationship negatively in terms of learning environment/class performance.
