Abstract (EN)

Teaching is a profession that plays a crucial role in maximizing individuals' potential and fostering beneficial contributions to society. Teachers, as the cornerstone of the education system, significantly influence the effectiveness of educational processes through their use of technology in teaching and self-efficacy levels. In this study, the relationship between the attitudes towards the use of technology in education and self-efficacy perceptions of teachers working in educational institutions was examined. In this context, teachers' attitudes towards the use of technology in education and their self-efficacy perceptions were examined in terms of variables such as gender, professional seniority, and educational status. The study was conducted using a relational survey model.. The population of this research consists of teachers working in public primary and secondary schools in Altıeylül and Karesi districts of Balıkesir province during the 2023-2024 academic year. The research sample consisted of 386 teachers (294 female and 92 male) from diverse subject areas employed in the same districts. The study employed a convenience sampling method, allowing the collection of data from accessible and suitable participants. Data collection was conducted using two validated instruments: the "Teacher Self-Efficacy Perception Scale - Short Form" developed by Karaoğlu (2019) and the "Attitude Scale Toward the Use of Technology in Education" developed by Öztürk (2006). Additionally, participants' demographic information was gathered using a Personal Information Form. According to the research findings, no statistically significant relationship was found between teachers' attitudes towards technology use and their self-efficacy perceptions. Based on these results, it is recommended to increase in-service training programs, strengthen technological infrastructure, expand opportunities for teachers' professional development, and establish support mechanisms to enhance their self- efficacy perceptions. Keywords: Attitude, Self-efficacy, Technology use, Teacher
