Abstract (EN)

In this study, in the production of aerated concrete using diatomite as raw material availability has been investigated. During the study, as the raw material of the aerated concrete diatomite taken from Seydiler (Afyonkarahisar) region was used. TS EN 197-1, CEM I as a binder (42.5 R) and the mixture of cement mortar to ensure the formation of pores by expansion of aluminium powder and quicklime are used.Diatomite, cement, quicklime, gypsum, and the aluminium powder consisting of expansion additives produced 13 different series. Aluminium powder reacts with calcium hydroxide and fresh mortar is poured into moulds as a result of expansion led to the formation of the porous structure is provided. Test samples was cured in autoclave for average 8 hours with the low-pressure (1.15 bar).Physical and mechanical tests experiments were conducted on samples. In the development phases within the microstructure analysis (SEM and XRD) was conducted to determine the structure, thermal conductivity coefficients were determined and compared with commercial gas concrete examples.
