Abstract (EN)

This study examined the impact of school anxiety on classroom success and solutions according to teachers' perspectives. The research was conducted using a phenomenological design, a qualitative research method; the study group consisted of 20 teachers working in the primary school level of Doğa Schools in Malatya province. Data were collected through a semi-structured interview form developed by the researcher and analyzed using content analysis. According to the findings, teachers stated that students experience higher levels of anxiety, especially during periods when lessons become more difficult and assessment processes intensify. Anxiety negatively affects attention, motivation, and class participation, leading to a decrease in academic performance. Indicators of school anxiety include decreased classroom participation, shyness, weakened peer interaction, and passivity. Relaxing activities, group work, individual communication, strengthening psychological counseling services, and supporting teachers in managing anxiety were considered important in coping with anxiety. In conclusion, it was assessed that reducing school anxiety can improve students' academic success; teacher support, a safe environment, and psychological support services play a decisive role in this process.
