Abstract (EN)

Preschool is the best period for having an opportunity to increase children's response to music and reveal their musical talent. In order to increase the interest of the child's in music, both pre-school and pre-school teachers have important responsibilities in this subject. Therefore, in this study, it is considered important to take the opinions of preschool teachers about music activities and to examine the status of the music centers in the class. The qualitative method was used in order to determine the opinions of the preschool teachers about music center arrangement status and music activities. 26 teachers who work in kindergartens participated in the study. Teachers' views through semi-structured interviews; the music centers in the classes were examined using 'Music Center Checklist'. The data were analyzed with descriptive analysis method. In the research results showed that the majority of teachers think that music activities are important and necessary, they support that with the music education process and the development areas of children. Teachers pay attention not to restrict the materials while organizing the music center and to make the center remarkable and interesting. It was concluded that the importance of material wealth in classrooms and the teachers may play music instruments was more important for more effective application of music activities.
