Abstract (EN)

In this study, the effects of different parameters in the file on the success of DNA extraction are evaluated by statistically analyzing the data obtained after DNA examination of 1700 different findings obtained from 391 different forensic cases in the laboratory. According to the results of the findings, the use of bloodstains and cigarette butts as evidence increases the success of DNA extraction. The aim of this study is to reveal the parameters affecting the process of obtaining biological findings from the crime scene and laboratory studies until the identification of the suspect. This study was conducted to gain more insight into forensic DNA success rates and the effects of these parameters and to help build an objective decision model for the analysis of DNA traces based on these DNA success rates. With this objective data, it is aimed to provide information that will support the evidence selection process of crime scene experts, to reveal the material truth and to help the judicial process to be concluded correctly.
