Abstract (EN)
The research was carried out to measure ethical awareness levels in measurement and evaluation. The aim of the study is to measure to what extent teachers are aware of ethical standards in measurement and evaluation. Since there is no study on this subject in the literature, an ethics study was carried out by the researcher. Since there is no ethical awareness scale in the literature and measurement and evaluation ethics are not studied in studies, this study was intended to be included in the literature. In the study, an ethical awareness scale regarding measurement and evaluation processes was developed to be applied to teachers. The literature was examined and the boundaries of the subject were drawn. The scope has been narrowed down to the subject and the dimensions have been created theoretically. Items were written based on the dimensions, various corrections were made and an item pool was created. Necessary items were selected from the created pool and a draft scale was prepared. The study group consists of teachers working in public schools in Eyyübiye, Haliliye and Karaköprü districts, which are the central districts of Şanlıurfa province. The Ethical Awareness Scale in Measurement and Evaluation developed by the researcher was applied to the teachers. The scale consists of 31 items. In the first stage for Exploratory Factor Analysis, the scale was applied to 356 teachers. Principal axis factor method was applied for analysis. After the analysis, 7 items were removed from the scale. The scale emerged with a structure of 24 items and 5 factors. Cronbach's alpha coefficients for factors; .817 for factor 1; .848 for factor 2; .766 for factor 3; .706 for factor 4; It was found to be 719 for the 5th factor. Then, the 24-item form was applied to 259 teachers for Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA). The model was validated with CFA. The multiple normality of the data was checked with the Mardia test and it was observed that normality was not achieved. Since normality was not achieved, the MLR estimation method was applied. Varimax rotation method was used. After the analyses, the scale was given its final form. While developing the scale, various demographic information of the group to be applied CFA was also requested. After CFA, the group was interpreted with this information. Participants were grouped according to gender, working level and in-service training status, and the data were interpreted. The normality of the group distributions was checked and since normality was not achieved, non-parametric tests were applied. As a result of the tests; There was no statistically significant difference between the groups according to gender, level of employment and in-service training.
