Abstract (EN)
This study aims to determine the available phosphorus status of soils in the coastal districts of Ordu Province and create spatial distribution maps. Geographic Information Systems were used for this purpose. Phosphorus, pH, salt, lime, organic matter and texture properties of the soils of Altınordu, Fatsa, Gülyalı, Perşembe and Ünye districts located on the coastline were investigated. It was found that 76.95% of the soils in the study area have phosphorus levels categorized as "low" or "very low," with an average phosphorus value of 7.42 mg kg-1. pH analysis showed that 35.71% of the soils are slightly acidic, and the overall average pH value is 5.95. In terms of salt content, 99.09% of the soils were classified as "salt-free." Lime analysis revealed that 73.54% of the soils are lime-free. Organic matter analysis indicated that 66.34% of the soils contain less than 3% organic matter. According to texture analysis, 45.94% of the soils are clay loam, and 43.21% are clay. Additionally, digital soil maps were created to visualize the soil properties in the study area. The results show that the soils in the region have low fertility potential and require corrective interventions for sustainable agriculture.
