Abstract (EN)
In this study, the types of folk songs in the Ordu province and women, women-men relations and attitudes and behaviors in everyday life from the folk songs have been examined, and they have been divided into types according to certain features. The universe of our research includes Ordu folk songs that emerged in the mass entertainment, various ceremonies, the places where people work in harvests, gardening, fields, hazelnut works, social environments where the folk songs are created and performed, and women performers and listeners who sing folk songs. The sample of the research includes the information about women subject in the lyrics and the information that the researcher obtained by being present in the environments wherein the folk songs were sung, by examining the folk songs selected from the Ordu province in terms of the theme, rendering and musical structure. In this research, the society, the tradition of the folk songs and the theme of the women were taken as a whole. In this context, women, the creators of the folk songs of the region, which have been transmitted by the centuries from generation to generation and reflect the values of all kinds, and the environments in which folk songs have been created and performed have been analyzed. Within the scope of the research, attempts have been made to identify the women characters in folk songs from the texts of folk songs formed by geographical, social and cultural interactions. Thus, it is aimed to determine how women in the region are reflected in folk songs by making connections between women and folk songs.
