Abstract (EN)

A widespread volcanic activity can be traced in entire of Aegean region. Some of these volcanic activities observed in Kütahya which located on intersection of Aegean, Marmara and Central Anatolia regions. The focus of this study is andesite and basaltic andesite observed in around of Örenköy. The rocks belongs to Paleozoic, Mesozoic and Cenozoic ages outcrops in the study area. Stratigraphically, located on the basement floor metamorphic rocks and above of that can be observed ophiolitic rocks and volcanic spread and in te top carbonate deposits of the lacustrine environment can be observed in the upper part of these stratigraphic sequence. Volcanics was examined in detail in terms of petrographic, andesites and basaltic andesites are seen mostly greyish and black. Rocks show microlitic porphyritic texture. For the purpose of mineralogical and petrographic studies, was made 12 units of thin sections. In the examination under the microscope was determined plagioclase as phenocrysts and microlites, as phenocrysts olivine, as the mineral pyroxene augite and Fe-Ti minerals that opaque minerals. These minerals are the rock composition. In plagioclase minerals it has been found in this section zoning and sieve texture. These features indicate an unstable condition in the development of rock crystallization. Thin sections of the TS-5, TS-8, TS-9 and TS-11 sample numbered sections marked on them by selecting the location of minerals and microprobe measurements were taken from these locations. Based on the results of these measurements, diagrams were drawn to reveal the composition of plagioclase, pyroxene, olivine and opaque minerals. The major, minor and trace elements analyzes of volcanics conducted and these analysis results was used for named of these volcanic rocks and geochemical interpretations.
