Abstract (EN)

In this thesis, a new series of unsymmetric perylene diimide dyes were synthesized and characterized for photovoltaic applications. Perylene diimides were suitable for optoelectronic applications because of their high fluorescence quantum yields, high molar absorptivity constant and photostability. N,N?-Bis(2,6-diisopropylphenyl)-1,7-dibromoperylene-3,4,9,10-tetracarboxylic diimide was synthesized with a standart procedure. Then, 1-Br and 7-Br groups of perylene ring were substituted with 6-undecanol. Obtained N,N?-Bis(2,6-diisopropylphenyl)-1,7-bis(6-undecanoxy)perylene-3,4,9,10-tetracarboxylic diimide was partially hydrolysed, and N-(2,6-diisopropylphenyl)-1,7-bis(6-undecanoxy)perylene-3,4,9,10-tetracarboxylic 3,4-anhydride 9,10-imide were formed. On the last step, this perylene imide anhydride derivative was reacted with three different amino compunds for synthesizing a series of unsymmetric perylene diimide dyes. One of the amino compounds, 3-[4-(4-aminophenyl)-5-methyl-thien-2-yl]-2-cyanoacrilic acid used in the synthesis, was synthesized from 5-methyl-2-thiophene carboxaldehyde in four steps.
