Abstract (EN)
This study investigates the mediating role of leader-member exchange in the impact of organizational climate on organizational identification. This thesis was prepared based on the suggestion that evaluation of the degree of identification by the employees are affected their judgments based on their interactions with their first managers rather than the perceived organizational climate. In the research, organizational climate and organizational identification are handled independent and dependent variable, respectively while leader-member exchange was handled as a mediator variable. They have all been tested within the framework of the model that creates the mediation effect. Reliable scales with high validity have been used to measure the participants' perceptions of the research variables. The sample of this reaearch consists of employees working in enterprises operating in Istanbul. Total of 406 of valid data have been obtained by online survey techinique. Hierarchical regression analysis was applied to the obtained data. As a result of the research findings; It was determined that there is a positive and significant relationship between organizational climate and organizational identification, between organizational climate and leader-member exchange (LMX), and between leader-member exchange (LMX) and organizational identification. Therefore, It has been confirmed that organisational climate affects organizational identification, and leader-member exchange (LMX) has a role of mediation in this relationship.
