Organizational misbehavior: A research for bank managers' perceptions

Abstract (EN)
People in organizations can show tendency to misbehave as a result of various individual or situational causes. Aforesaid misbehaviors have both apparent and non-apparent costs and when this situation is considered, misbehaviors in organization costs much to the institiution. Organizations are under pressure to be sustainable based on efficiency and effectiveness of this kind of behavior is expected to closely monitor the conditions or practices. This responsibility is not only in terms of organizational performance as well as conversation of organizational environment to cultural structure that include humanitarian and ethical practices are also required. The aim of this study is to determine the causes and types of misbehaviors and to contribute to the understanding of the dynamics of this kind of behavior in the banking sector. In this study, conducted bank managers' perceptions by using classification developed by Robinson and Bennett (1995), and tried to determine the most common forms of misbehavior. According to the findings of the study most of realized type of misbehavior by employees is property misbehaviors. On the other hand, the behaviors that exhibit by managers, depending on the pressure of target are favoritism and mobbing behaviors.
