The effects of information technologies on organization for planning and control: İstanbul Ministry of Tax Administration service application

Information Technology carries with it enormous potential for transforming workflows of planning and control. The purpose of this study is to determine and analyze the effect of information technology to planning and control. Istanbul Ministry of Tax Administration IVDB Service Applications is taken as case-study. IVDB Service Applications is a system which is developed for administrators of organization, contains various hardware and software technology solutions and used for 1.5 years. The research consists of three main parts. In first part theoretical framework is explained: Organizational structure, administration, planning and control. In second part terminology related with this study is explained. In third part data, which is collected from administrators of Istanbul Ministry of Tax Administration by using survey, is analyzed. Frequency, standard deviation and one-way ANOVA are performed. The study clearly defines effect of information technology to planning and control workflow. These positive outcomes have provided critical information for strategic developing of IVDB Service Applications.
