Abstract (EN)
This study, which aims to examine the relationship between organizational psychological capital and job performance of healthcare workers in health institutions, is designed as a descriptive cross-sectional type. The universe of the study consisted of a total of 3870 employees working in a public hospital in Balıkesir, while the sample consisted of 438 employees who volunteered to participate in the study. After excluding five individuals who left the survey forms incomplete, the study was conducted with the participation of a total of 433 individuals. The data were collected using the face-to-face interview technique. In the survey form used in the research, eight statements related to personal and sociodemographic characteristics, the Organizational Psychological Capital Scale, and the Job Performance Scale were included. The analysis of the obtained data was conducted using the IBM SPSS 26 software package. First, the reliability analyses of the scales were conducted; as a result of the data showing a normal distribution, parametric tests were performed to determine whether the organizational psychological capital and job performance scales differ according to demographic factors. To examine the relationships between the variables, correlation and regression analysis were applied. As a result of the analyses, it was found that there is a moderate, positive, and significant relationship between psychological capital and its sub-dimensions and job performance, with the highest relationship in job performance being with the self-efficacy sub-dimension. The conclusion has been reached that psychological capital and all its sub-dimensions affect job performance. Additionally, it has been determined that there are significant differences between the sociodemographic characteristics and psychological capital and job performance as a result of the difference analysis.
