Investigation of the relationship between emotional intelligence and organizational citizenship: An example of sport management GSGM and Autonomous Sports Federations

Abstract (EN)
This work has been studied on the perspectives of the GSGM administrators and autonomous sports federation chairmans and general sekretars about the organizational citizenship behavior level and emotional intelligence level and the relation with its variables, which is thought is influential at organization performance and individual performance.In This scanning type study, which has been setout on the above frame, has been used 3 section data gathering tools. In the first part has been developed an individual info form by the researcher to expose the demographic feature of the participants. And in the other 2 parts it has been utilized from the ?emotional intelligence? consist of 25 expressions and ?organizational citizenship behavior? consist of 21 expressions, developed by Özaslan, Acar B. and Acar C. (2009).By evaluating the researching datas it has been used statistical methods such as frequency, percentage distributions, T-Test for independent groups and one-way variance analysis for independent groups (ANOVA) and Pearson correlation analysis to research the relation among the sub-dimensions.According to the research indication it has been obtained that the levels of the administrators for organizational citizenship are high and for emotional intelligence are low. In terms of variable of the gender there has been encountered no meaningful differences between the ?organizational behavior scale? and the ?emotional intelligence scale? in general average points. Merely the organizational citizenship level and also the emotional intelligence level of the women was higher. Regarding the comparison of the general points of the participants according their marital status it can be stated that the single administrators average points (=3,90) are higher than the married administrators (=3,83) but the ?emotional intelligence scale? general average points was close. However the ?organizational citizenship? levels and the ?emotional intelligence? levels of the GSGM administrators have been identified higher.Keywords: Organizational Citizenship, Emotional Intelligence, Sports Management
