The usage of the relief map for the representation of the land forms in geography lessons in seconday education institutions

The importance of using effective materials in the subjects of Geography in secondary education institutions is increasing day by day. In this context, the description of the ground shapes found in the 9th grade Geography textbook in which the earth shapes are processed is provided. Construction methods and production processes of relief maps are examined. By using the relief maps provided in the present, the landforms which will be effective and suitable to be shown on the plastic relief maps are shown. An overview of the areas of use of relief maps has been made and the positive and negative aspects of PRM learning have been explained. Finally, interviews with geography teachers were made and the usability of relief maps in secondary education institutions was questioned.
