Abstract (EN)

The first aim of this research is to examine the activities of the Educational Information Network (EIN) in terms of "spatial visualization, spatial orientation, mind turning and mind cutting" components of spatial competence and to determine the relationship of these activities to spatial skills and components. Another aim of the research is to determine the views of elementary school mathematics teachers who work in different schools about EIN activities. For this purpose, the study is structured in the form of ordered mixed patterns from mixed research methods. Document analysis was used for the qualitative dimension of the sequential mixed pattern, whereas the questionnaire technique which is frequently used in the scanning model was used for the quantitative dimension. In the analysis of the data, a descriptive analysis method was used. In the first part of the study, three expert opinions were adopted in order to decide which component of the EBA activities is related to spatial competence. In the second part of the research, the questionnaire prepared by expert opinion was applied to 20 elementary mathematics teachers working in Sinop and Kastamonu. As a result of the research, it is found out that 35 activities related to spatial skills in EBA are related to 21 of the 26 achievements in the curriculum and also that 34% of them are about spatial visualization, 28.5% of them are about spatial orientation and 31.5% of them are about the rotation component. In the second part of the study, it is determined that the opinions of the primary school mathematics teachers changed between 4,16 and 4,57 over the 5 full scores of the general averages on the class basis.
