Teaching of postpositions in secondary schools and the competence of students'postpotions use

Grammar is the name of discipline that reveals in the language scheme by compiling and offering the rules of the language. Grammar is in a systematic operation in order to exhibit this scheme. In this regard, all constitutes that make up the language are classified under the name of "words classes" and the tasks of word classes in the sentences were clearly indicated. Postposition, conjunctions and interjections are usually discussed under the head of "word classes" in the part of "vocabulary section" in grammar. They are the responsible units that take part providing the communication function of the language, just as other word classes. Language is a whole. All elements that make up the language from smallest unite of sound to sentences provide the unity and harmony. In this regard word classes are the units of the languages that are needed for a better or stronger expression and none of them has no more less importance than others. But, some problems are seen in teaching of postpositions, conjunctions, interjections when considered in terms of Turkish grammar teaching. This study which aims to determine on a case in teaching of postpositions, conjunctions, interjections in secondary schools includes theoretical information about language>grammar>word classes>postpositions, conjunctions, interjections by a correct sequence to follow from the general to the specific. In teaching of postpositions, conjunctions and interjections in secondary schools were discussed with conducted qualitative and quantitative researches; problems encountered in this process were examined and the success averages of the students belong to postpositions, conjunctions and interjections were studied to reveal. According to research data, a number of problems are experienced in teaching of postpositions, conjunctions and interjections in secondary schools. Understanding and using postpositions, conjunctions and interjections success of the students is moderate. According to the result obtained from research were also made suggestions about what can be done. Key words: Conjunction, Grammar, Postposition, Interjection
