Abstract (EN)
In our studies, which carry the title of "Sectarian Debates in the Process of Transition from Ottoman to Republic", the articles mainly in "Sırâtımüstakîm-Sebîlürreşâd" and "Dârulfünûn İlahiyat Fakültesi" magazines which had a high representation power then and also in some other magazines have been dealt with in the context of sectarian debates. In addition, in our research, articles related to the Islamic Sects in these journals and the works reflecting the thought structure of the sects in the period have been examined. In the light of the information obtained from the research, it has been determined which problem or problems, in the most critical period, the sectarian debates would solve. In the first part of our study, the studies of the History of the Islamic Sects in the late Ottoman period, the process of the formation of the History of the Sects, the formation of the sect of the Ottoman Empire, the journals in question, the relations between the east and the west of the Islamic world, the movements in the religion-state-politics debates and traditional educational institutions giving direction to the religious life have been focused on. In the second part, the studies and writers about the sects in "Sırâtımüstakîm-Sebîlürreşât" and "Dârulfünûn İlahiyat Fakültesi" magazines and the Islamic sects living in the Ottoman Geography and the sects differing from Islam have been discussed. In the third chapter, the kalamic and sectarian topics such as imamah and caliphate, conception and progression, accident and fate, belief-faith relationship, convergence of sects, Islamic unity, Mahdism, ijtihad and imitation have been discussed.
