Abstract (EN)

Mekârimü'l Ahlâk was a weekly spiritual and mystical magazine that was printed during the second constitutional era of Ottoman Empire. Hafiz Mehmed was the owner of the magazine, and also worked as editor-in-chief. The first issue was published on 1908 while the final issue was printed on 1909. Mekârimü'l Ahlâk was issued once a week and unfortunately did not have a long life. It shut down it's doors after publishing 30 issues. While the magazine covered mostly mysticism and morality articles, it also produced political, literary, social, cultural and contemporary articles. The magazine did not have a permanent list of writers or staff, hence anyone could send in their writings to get it published. The readership of Mekârimü'l Ahlâk was coming from all demographics. The first part of this thesis starts with exploring some other magazines that covered similar topics, and it continues with detailed study of Mekârimü'l Ahlâk's characteristics, writers and the articles that gotten published. A detailed chronological index of the subjects and writers can be seen at following sections of the thesis. Keywords: Mysticism, Mekârimü'l Ahlâk, II. Constitutional, Morality, Magazine
