Abstract (EN)

In the Ottoman Empire, the existence of the Military Penal and Disciplinary Law, the process it has been through, and accordingly, the emergence of military discipline and the development stages have been discussed. Taking into account the nature of our work, we have dealt with the laws of the military, which were created in particular with the establishment of Asakir-i Mansure-i Muhammediyye. Until now, the historical development of the Military Penal and Disciplinary Law in the Ottoman Empire has not been examined in a very extensive and in-depth manner. In order to be able to better assess and evaluate the historical development and present situation of the Military Penal / Disciplinary Law and the military sentence in the Ottoman Empire, it was firstly considered that these rules would be useful to know the patterns of practice in the past.
