Abstract (EN)

It is understood that Ottoman Empire has been subjected to a dissolution that makes itself felt quite a lot in the XVI. century. As a matter of fact, it is seen that the reasons for this dissolution are due to both internal and external interactions. The Ottoman Empire had difficulty in defining the impact it was exposed from outside for a long time, and sought the degree of dissolution in its own internal dynamics. Unfortunately, it will also take time for it to realize that its great methods out of date are no longer useful. Along with a series of improvement policies made in this process, it actually has a spirit that shows modernization breakthroughs. In addition to the traditionalist breakthroughs of the XVII. when it comes to VIII. century, tend to make European profile breakthroughs will also begin to form. Attempts to modernize faced many oppositions for the Ottoman Empire. These contrast attitudes will prevent its spreading the steps are long-term and large masses. When it comesto the period of II. Mahmud, ween counter the existence of initiatives at an unfulfilled level. As a matter of fact, with the small steps taken in thep roces sreaching the whole, II. It is also related to the character of Kavalalı Mehmet Ali Pasha, whom he would have totake as an example for Mahmud. Thisstudy has been carried out so as to question the to the character of the Egyptian in fluence in Ottoman modernization and at the same time the existence of it sindividualfoot. In the first part of the study is examined in three parts, there a sons that pushed the Ottoman Empireto modernize and the answers given to it have been tried to be defined. In the next part, evaluations have been made on the stages of the modernizations kill that took place in Egyptand the way the product tha temerged as a result of the sestages affected the Ottoman Empire in the process until the Tanzimat Edict. In the last part, the effects of modernization that took place in the axis of Ottoman-Egyptian relations after the Tanzimat Edict have been tried to be conveyed.
