Abstract (EN)
Dwell point policy one of the control policies in automated storage and retrieval systems. The position where an idle crane waits is determined by a dwell-point policy. The dwell-point is best chosen to minimise the expected time to travel to the next request. Because minimizing response time of storage or retrieval requests and maximizing output level can be obtained with optimal selection of dwell point for machines, in order to reduce empty travel time to determine where to position machines that has no jobs to perform is an important control problem. In this study, an Automated Storage and Retrieval System (AS/RS) dwell point determination problem is evaluated. To examine the effect of dwell point policy to AS/RS?s performance, a goal programming model is proposed. Application of proposed model?s algorithm is showed with real data from a white goods enterprise in which fridge is produced in Eskişehir.Key Words : Automated Storage and Retrieval Systems, Dwell Point, GoalProgramming
