Abstract (EN)
Cold rolled low carbon steel which is used in automotive industry for body manufacturing, has been welded by four different methods through the parameters specified. These methods are: resistance spot welding, TIG, laser and remote laser welding.Welded specimens were subjected to the SEM investigation after metallographic preparation. Strength of the weld zone is revealed by hardness measurement in that zone. Fractured surfaces of the weld seams of TIG and remote laser welded specimens have been interpreted by SEM investigation. As a result of the microstructure investigations, martensite has seemed in each type of specimen welded by different methods. Highest hardness values have been obtained in remote laser welded specimen.Traditional methods and modern methods have been compared through the results obtained and proposals to develop modern methods have been submitted.
