Abstract (EN)
The aim of the research is to examine the Uzbek folk tales within the framework of V. Propp's Morphological Approach. For this purpose, the qualitative descriptive method was followed in the research. There are 30 Uzbek tales collected by compilation method in the study group of the research. Content analysis was used in the analysis of 30 Uzbek tales according to the Propp method. Based on the findings created as a result of the content analysis, the distribution of the Uzbek tales according to the area of movement they contain, the number of movements, the phenomenon of space, the classification of Propp's fairy tales, and the presence of 31 functions defined by Propp are given in tables. As a result of the analysis; All 31 functions were found in 30 of the analyzed Uzbek tales. According to this result, it can be stated that the Propp method can be applied in Uzbek tales in general. It has been determined that the examined Uzbek tales conform to the common structure. Tales started with a deficiency or an evil, and ended with rewarding the hero or punishing the evil by passing through intermediate functions. In the results of the research on the classification of tales, it has been determined that most of the tales are included in the group of "development from neither H-J nor M-N". In the distribution of the number of movements according to the tales, it has been concluded that the tales are generally double-acted. Regarding the distributions according to the action area, it was found that the action area of the fake hero is the action area where the most plot is formed after the hero action area. In the Uzbek tales examined in the research, although the home space is used extensively, 17 different spaces were found. This result shows that there is a variety of places in fairy tales. Based on the results of the research, it is suggested that different Uzbek tales should be analyzed according to the Propp method. Keywords: Morphological, Propp Method, Uzbek Tales
