Abstract (EN)
...In this study, it was aimed to determine the effectiveness of constant time delay procedure in teaching reading and writing with sound based sentence method to individuals with special needs. In addition to this main purpose, after the acquisition of literacy skills, the permanence of these skills, their across the interpersonal and mate-rials generalization were also examined. In addition, in order to collect social validity data, the opinions of families and teachers of individuals with special needs were consulted. In this study, multiple multiple probe design across behaviors was used which is one of the single-subject research models. Three individuals with special needs, two girls and one boy, participated in the study. These students continue in the second grade as full-day co-teaching inclusive students and haven't learned to read and write, and their average age is seven. The aim of the study is to teach eighteen sub-behaviors, six of which are covered by three basic behaviors. Sub-behaviors included in each behavior studied were determined by analyzing the behavior based on applied behavior analysis, and training was conducted on the basis of meeting criteria for each sub-behavior. Since each sub behavior is a precondition for the next behavior, the criterion was determined as 100%. In the constant time delay teaching sessions, the first trials were carried out as zero second delay trials. As a result of the study, it was found that two participants acquired literacy skills in all sub-behaviors in all three basic behaviors, that the skills they acquired were permanent, and generalized these skills across the interpersonal and mate-rials; It was found that one participant acquired the first three sub-behaviors in the first basic behavior. When we look at the social validity findings of the research, it is seen that the families and the teachers of the participants expressed positive opinions about the research.
