Abstract (EN)

The aim of this study is to examine the physical activity habits of teachers working in private education institutions affiliated to the Ministry of National Education in Bursa on trait anxiety. A total of 469 teachers working in private education institutions affiliated to the Ministry of National Education participated in the study. The physical activity and trait anxiety levels of all teachers participating in the study were evaluated. The International Physical Activity Questionnaire and Trait Anxiety Inventory were used to collect data from the participants. As a result of the normality tests applied to the data obtained in this study, Independent samples t-test and one-way analysis of variance were performed from parametric tests, and LSD test was used for multiple comparisons. In addition, while using Phi and Cramer's V coefficient to examine the relationship between categorical data as a relationship analysis; Spearman correlation test was used to examine the relationship between categorical data and anxiety. When the anxiety levels of the participants were examined according to the variables of gender, teaching branch, income, and doing sports, a statistically significant difference was detected. When the anxiety levels were examined according to the variables of age, teaching tenure, marital status, number of children, hobbies, chronic illness, physical activity status, no statistically significant difference was found. Again, while a significant relationship was found between the participants' activity level and gender, age, teaching time, teaching branch, marital status, doing sports, and hobby variables, no significant relationship was found between the activity level and the number of children, income, and chronic disease variables. As a result, as a result of the findings obtained, it was revealed that female participants had higher trait anxiety levels than male participants. When the trait anxiety levels of the participants were examined according to the physical activity status variable, it was concluded that the group with the lowest level of anxiety was the group with high activity, but the was no significant diffrence between the groups. Depending on the gender, it was determined that there was a significant relationship between the activity levels of the participants and the gender. When the relationship between various variables and trait anxiety variable is examined; It has been concluded that there is a low level of strength but a significant relationship between the variables of Gender, Age, Teaching branch, Number of children, Income level, Doing regular sports and Trait anxiety levels. On the other hand, it was concluded that there is no significant relationship between teaching time, marital status, regular hobby, chronic disease, activity level and trait anxiety levels.
