Abstract (EN)
Pablo de Sarasate (1844-1908) emerged as a significant figure in the classical music world in the late 19th century, both as a performer and a composer, securing a lasting place in the violin repertoire with his works inspired by Spanish folk music. These compositions, notable for their technical demands and expressive power, hold valuable insights for violin pedagogy and performance practice. This study comprehensively examines Sarasate's musical legacy and his contributions to violin literature, focusing on the form and interpretative analysis of three selected works from the Spanish Dances album: Malagueña Op. 21, No. 1, Andalusian Romance Op. 22, No. 1, and Playera Op. 23, No. 1. Additionally, Sarasate's innovations in violin technique and elements of virtuosity are explored, and practice recommendations are provided for violin students based on the technical challenges of the selected pieces.
