Abstract (EN)

In this thesis study; N,N′-bis(ferrocenylmethyl)imidazolium chloride and bromide salts as auxiliary catalysts in the presence of Pd(OAc)2 in Mizoroki-Heck coupling reactions have been investigated. Two different olefins, styrene and ethyl acrylate, have been studied for heck coupling reactions. The reaction between the sample reaction iodobenzene and the ethyl acrylate/styrene was chosen for Mizoroki-Heck catalytic studies. On this reaction, optimum conditions were determined by examining the concepts of base, temperature, time, solvent and catalyst effect. The optimum conditions for the sample reactions were determined to be 4 hours, temperature 140 °C, base K2CO3, solvent DMF, catalyst Pd(OAc)2 + N,N'-bis (ferrocenylmethyl) imidazolinium chloride salt, substrate/catalyst molar ratio 1/50. Other catalytic tests were performed under these conditions. High yields obtained in Mizoroki-Heck coupling reactions; N,N'-bis(ferrocenylmethyl) imidazolinium chloride salt is a effective catalyst for Mizoroki-Heck chelating reactions.
