Abstract (EN)

The concept of energy, which directs our lives from the past to the present and the future, in short, is of great importance. Energy is an important source of power for countries. Due to the importance of energy, countries have turned to energy search and energy resources. There are many different ways to obtain energy, and one of them is biomass energy, which is a renewable energy type. Pellet fuels are also obtained from biomass energy, which is one of the renewable energy sources. Pellet fuels are used for heating and electricity generation. In this study, the effects of improvements made on the die disc, which is one of the elements of the pellet machine used in the production of pellet fuel, were investigated. It aims to improve the holes on the die disc and examine the effects of this improvement by examining the effects of die discs on pellet quality and machine efficiency. It is understood from the researches that the changes made in the die holes affect the pellet production. It was observed that after the form change made at the inlet mouths of the holes of the die disc, the honing applied to the holes and the polishing of the inlet mouth surfaces with diamond paste, the product accumulation in the transition mouth decreased and the product flow became easier. It was determined that there was a difference between the production speed before making changes in the holes of the die disc and the production speed after the changes made in the holes of the die disc. It was observed that the change made in the holes of the die disc in the pellet machine significantly affected the production efficiency of the pellet press used.
