Abstract (EN)
Globalization, developments in information and communication technologies and increased expectations of consumers have gradually increased significance of retail logistics in our present day. Effective management of retail logistics not only decrease logistics costs but also brings along many advantages such as availability of products and increase of logistic performance. Retail businesses, having realized the importance of information and communication technologies on logistics activities, perceive such activities as a factor providing strategic superiority for businesses rather than a cost item. The purpose of this study is to acquire deep information about logistic implementations and level of outsourcing in the food retailing. In order to reach this goal, a retailer operating in the food retail sector has been analyzed by using a sample case study. While deep information about logistic implementations of a food retailer has been acquired at the end of the research, the currrent situation with different dimensions have also been determined.
