Abstract (EN)
With the proliferation of time costs in recent years, waiting has become a value that is important to people. But we often have queue-waiting problems in places like hospitals, banks, shopping malls and supermarkets, which are an important part of our lives. In this study, waiting problems at payment points, which is one of the most important issues in the retail sector, are discussed. The experience at checkout is of great importance in order to ensure that the customer leaves the store happy and to gain good loyalty. With a good queue management system, you can do this and ensure that customers leave the store satisfied. In the literature research, it was observed that studies were carried out using express case models before. It is seen that some difficulties are encountered due to the constraints applied in order to preserve the feature of the express safe. In this thesis, unlike the previous studies, self-checkout where you can make the payment process by yourself without any employee support and without waiting in line. Alternative scenarios were first compared among themselves and then with the current situation. It has been observed that there are improvements in the waiting times of the customers and the number of customers waiting in the queue.
