Abstract (EN)
Within the scope of this dissertation, the performance of Güllüce-Döllük and Devecikonağı pressurized irrigation systems, which are located in Mustafakemalpaşa District of Bursa, serving a total of 5377 ha of irrigated area and are operated by on-demand method, were determined and evaluated. Analyzes of the examined networks were made with EPANET and COPAM hydraulic simulation software used for the design and performance analysis of pressure irrigation networks. Moreover, a plugin for QGIS, a geographic information system software, was developed to perform EPANET analyzes of pressurized irrigation networks by integrating with GIS technologies and to provide a more comfortable working environment and easy-to-use software for designers, analysts and irrigation engineers. In the Güllüce-Döllük irrigation project, deficiencies were detected with both EPANET and COPAM hydraulic simulation software. In the EPANET hydraulic analysis, it was determined that more than 80% of the network hydrants had deficiencies in their current conditions. On the other hand, the hydraulic analysis results obtained with the COPAM software in the current conditions of the project suggested that approximately 90% of the hydrants in the network are sufficient. In the hydraulic analysis of Devecikonağı irrigation network, it was determined that EPANET and COPAM hydraulic simulation software gave very similar results. In addition, a solution based on the semi-arranged on-demand method was proposed as a solution to the deficiencies identified in this irrigation network. As a striking finding in the study, it was determined that the results of EPANET and COPAM analysis may differ in large networks, while the two models give very similar results in small irrigation networks. The use of computer-aided software models during the design and operation of pressure irrigation systems can prevent possible human errors. GIS software has; When integrated with hydraulic models, features such as projection with a geographic datum, coordinate positioning, calculation of the lengths between locations according to the datum with the appropriate reference ellipse, automatic reading of location heights from a layer, and querying a spatial database provide a better design and analysis environment, and solution for irrigation engineers.
